  OTHERLANDZ: EVERYTHING YOU SHOULD KNOW

  Posted by: Xav

  DATE: 10/6/26

Finally, after many years of procrastination I introduce you to OTHERLANDZ, a supernatural thematic horror about imaginary friends living in a ravaged dimension of the same name. Though, it won’t be long before three of them really end up grasped in the wicked claws of the newly introduced Believer Act…

But before things kick off, I wanted to make a post going over a few important things to note. I’d highly advise taking a look before you start reading depending on when you’re looking at this.

Hey. Why should I read this?

I feel like if you were around during the era people were posting comic dubs on the ‘tube you’ll probably dig this. Honestly if this goes as far as I want it to I’d be more than down to try and get a super-awesome dubbed version out there. The concepts for a lot of my stories were actually created around that timeframe, though this one started as a side-idea to a comic being worked on around roughly 2016 before becoming the standalone project it is now.

Ight. What should I know before I head on?

  1. The posting schedule might be a little wack, but only really for Chapter 0 (C0). I’m still figuring out my own schedule and how often I can put out pages. By the end of it I should have a good grasp on that. (Trust me, I know consistency issues are a HUGE put-off when you’re following a webcomic, but I swear it’s only temporary. I’m both working and in college so I’ve been trying to gauge what I can do).

  2. After C0, pages and related updates will start to be uploaded here first. This is the official home for my comics, posts, and other Exclusive Content™. As of now, I’m still trying to fix the navigation issues so it’s less of a pain to read here, so for the time being the comic will be updated on ComicFury until further notice. I’m also working on formatting things both here and on CF so it’ll look all cool and stuff.

  3. The comic should be properly tagged/updated and have the appropriate warnings attached. Furthermore, I will have more details about said warnings listed with chapters that I feel will need them. If there isn’t any place, please just keep in mind this story and some of its elements are NOT what they may seem on the outside. I like to think of it as if you went to your average-looking gumball machine, put a quarter in only to hold out your hand and down comes a pile of earthworms. Just cause it looks like a gumball machine, doesn’t mean it ain’t actually full of earthworms, ya dig?

  4. To add more to #1, chapters may take longer to update at times due to the above, but ALSO because I plan to use some aspects to test programs, and really just add to the overall vibe of the work. If you didn’t know, besides art I also deal with a lot of old-tech and I have more than one early 00’s PC begging me to use it for my creative endeavors LOL. I like to mix this hobby with my art and writing sometimes, and OL is the perfect excuse for me to do so. It shouldn’t cause too much of a stir in things, but you know how finicky aging machines can be sometimes. Either way there will always be updates.

  Anything else?

Noooot really. Not that I can think of off the top of my head at least. If I do think of something, I’ll keep posted. If it isn’t here or on CF, I’m almost certain updates might also be found on my Instagram (@1rrat10nal),

Alright, nuff said. I’m really looking forward to putting this story on the ‘net, and if you choose to follow me as I create, then I got a lot in store. More posts will be made as pages are released, and a slightly edited variant of this will also be up on Comic Fury. Peace.

HAPPY PRIDE! (UPDATES + MAINTENANCE NOTICE)

  POSTED BY: Xav

  DATE: 6/5/26

Hey, looks like its June. Firstly, I just wanna say HAPPY PRIDE! Well wishes to all the applicable and if you have plans, have fun and please stay safe. I was looking to go to a parade this year but given the current climate I unfortunately have to pass this year out of safety concerns. Hoping to attend in the near future though. In Cecil’s world, PRIDE is truly a sight to behold, as the unpredictability of its people there gave birth to thousands of identities beyond the understanding of Earth-folk, so you could only imagine how huge the celebrations are.

Buuuut onto other matters, in the next few weeks this place may go through quite a few periods of maintenance so I can fix formatting issues (mainly the one that has been affecting mobile), as well as add to existing/unfinished pages (mainly OTHERLANDZ, as I’m trying to get it ready to host the comic). During these times the site may be down for a few hours, though for extra measure I usually post more information about when and how long beforehand on my Instagram (@1rrat10nal). A lot of these down-times may be later in the evening/night (EST) as I rarely have time in the day due to work n’ stuff but may fluctuate depending on when I’m able to get around. Either way I will keep posted.

But that’s about all I wanted to say for now. The next entry here will likely be related to the OTHERLANDZ comic and may contain important details about the project, and probably some more site related updates. Do stick around!

  WELCOME TO WWW.APLACECALLEDHYSTERIA.NET

  POSTED BY: Xav

Yo. I finally have my own site. Ain’t it neat? As you can probably tell, I’m still figuring out everything, designs n’ whatnot. Buying a domain/building a site was always somewhat in the cards for me especially given I’m a upcoming comic artist that wants to share their shtuff but no idea where exactly to post them. I wanted to go with CF, but eventually I just decided it would be better if I just had my own place for it for customization reasons/fear of censorship due to the fact some of my stories have sensitive-topics in them (not like anything too crazy, but just to be safe I felt it would be better I kept it here and maybe branch out to mainstream sites once I get everything done). Like the super-edgy sitename though? Yeah, me too.

Currently, this place is sorta in like alpha. There may be things that aren’t 100% finished, I’m still experimenting with what goes where, etc. Though I can say for certain I’m gonna host my comics here, as well as various posts involving them and everything else. There may be added features, but I’m still figuring that out. I wanna say it’ll be a few weeks to possibly a month before I’ll consider it “done” (I will constantly be updating this place as I can). So yeah. Look around if you wanna, and keep your eyes out for more features. Peace!
